What can I say; I LOVE this interactive counting book!
Here’s the story in a nutshell. A plucky little warthog sets out on an adventure and wanders further and further away from home while he en“count”ers different objects and animals, finding them hidden in trees, water, bushes, flowers and behind rocks. But that’s not where the story ends! He eventually trails off too far and finds a dangerous critter that gives him quite a bit of a scare!
I LOVE the illustrations in this book. The little warthog is adorable, the ending is a clever surprise, and the counting flaps are so very, very effective! Definitely a hit at our house!
